During this project I will explore and investigate a variety of artists, identify a type of visual language that is most appropriate to my investigation in each, analyse them, and then conduct my own experiments based on my findings.
This project will help towards identifying more types of artistic approaches and styles to illustration. Using visual languages in certain types of illustration that are mainly used in other kinds (i.e. a design styled with an unusual use of colour, but used in a graphic novel) is the sort of unique quality that helps a piece be appreciated, and an artist remembered. My experiments that I will conclude this project with will include identified visual languages from different artists and pieces.
